Roller derbyn alkeiskurssi alkaa sunnuntaina 5.10.2025 ja päättyy 30.11.2025.
Alkeiskurssi on avoin kaikille 16-vuotta täyttäneille sukupuolesta ja liikuntataustasta riippumatta! Noudatamme kaikissa tapahtumissamme turvallisemman tilan periaatteitamme.
Harjoitusajat:
Aloittelijoiden luistelu- ja tekniikkaharjoitukset ovat kahdesti viikossa Keltakankaan liikuntahallilla (Keltakangas 1):
– tiistaisin klo 19-20:15 ja
– sunnuntaisin klo 17.30-18:45
Treenit aloitetaan off skate (ilman luistimia)- lämmittelyllä. Lisäksi alkeiskurssiin kuuluu teoriatunti, joissa harjoitellaan roller derbyn sääntöjä. Teoriatunnin ajankohta sovitaan myöhemmin.
Varusteet
Yhdistys lainaa aloittelijoille mahdollisuuksien mukaan kaikki tarpeelliset varusteet hammassuojia lukuunottamatta. Varusteet lainataan ilmoittautumisjärjesyksen mukaisesti. Hammassuojat voi ostaa seuralta tai ne voi hankkia itse, hinta on noin 30 €. Ilmoittautumisen jälkeen saat tervetuloviestin, jonka kautta pääset varaamaan lainavarusteet seuralta.
Voit hankkia itsellesi varusteet myös omaksi; quad-malliset rullaluistimet, multi-impact mallin kypärä, kyynär-, polvi-, ranne- ja hammassuojat. Suosittelemme täysin muotoiltavia CCM Sisu Aero – hammassuojia, jotka suussa on helppo puhua ja juoda vettä. Rovaniemellä niitä myy esim. Hockey Base ja Minimani. Aloituspaketit uusille varusteille ovat hinnaltaan n. 210 € ylöspäin. Varusteita pystyy ostamaan myös käytettyinä. Autamme mielellämme varustehankinnoissa, jos niiden suhteen on kysymyksiä.
Mitä hintaan kuuluu?
Aloittelijakurssin 60 € (LYY:n hyvinvointipassilla -10% eli 54€) maksu pitää sisällään alkeiskurssin treenit, sääntöjä koskevan teoriatunnin sekä seuran jäsenyyden loppuvuodeksi. Järjestämme myös muita tapahtumia jäsenille silloin tällöin. Lisäksi jäsenenä sinulla on mahdollisuus ostaa seuran merchiä jäsenhintaan ja jäsenenä olet äänioikeutettu yhdistyksen kokouksissa.
Roller derby beginners’ course at Rovaniemi
The roller derby beginners’ course starts on Sunday, October 5, 2025 and ends on November 30, 2025.
The beginners’ course is open to everyone over the age of 16, regardless of gender or background in sports! We follow our safer space principles at all our events.
Practice times:
Skating and technique practices for beginners are held twice a week at Keltakangas sportshall (Keltakangas 1):
– Tuesdays from 7:00 PM to 8:15 PM and
– Sundays from 5:30 PM to 6:45 PM
The training starts with an off-skate warm-up. In addition, the beginners’ course includes a theory lesson, where you practice the rules of roller derby.
Equipment:
The association lends all necessary equipment to beginners, except for mouthguards, if possible. Equipment is loaned in the order of registration. You can buy a mouthguard from the club or from a shop yourself, the price is approximately 30 €. We recommend fully moldable CCM Sisu Aero mouth guards, because with them in your mouth you can still talk and drink water. In Rovaniemi, they are sold by, for example, Hockey Base and Minimani.
After you have signed up for the course, you will get a welcome- message where we tell you how to reserve equipment to borrow from the club.
You can also buy your own skates at an online store or used equipment from other roller derby skaters; you will need quad-model roller skates, multi-impact helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, wristguards and a mouthguard. Starter packages cost around 210 € and up. We are happy to help with equipment purchases if you have any questions.
What does the price include?
The beginner course fee of 60 € (with the LYY wellness pass -10%= 54 €) includes fall season training, theory lesson on the rules and the clubs membership for the rest of the year. We also organize events for emembers from time to time. In addition, as a member you have the opportunity to buy club merch at the member price and as a member you are entitled to vote at the association meetings.
