Ne ovat täällä taas! Tule kokeilemaan quad- luistimia ja roller derbyä Keltakankaalle sunnuntaina 19.2. klo 18 alkaen. Kaikille osallistujille pyritään järjestämään oikeankokoiset luistimet ja suojat lainaan kokeilukerralle. Päälle kannattaa pukea liikuntaan sopivat vaatteet ja mukaan ottaa vesipullo. Ilmoitathan mikäli joudut perumaan osallistumisesi. Näin saamme varusteet jonkun toisen käyttöön. HUOM! Osallistuminen vaatii vähintään 18 vuoden iän. Kokeilukerta on ilmainen.
Aloittelijakurssi starttailee kokeilukertojen jälkeen helmikuun lopussa ja se tulee kestämään 14.5.2023 saakka. Kurssin aikana osallistujat oppivat luistelemaan, kaatumaan ja pysähtymään turvallisesti, sekä ottavat haltuun roller derby -pelin perusteet. Luistelu- ja tekniikkaharjoituksia järjestetään kahdesti viikossa: tiistaisin klo 19-20.30 Lyseonpuiston lukiolla (pois lukien viikot 9-15 jolloin harjoitukset siirtyvät kirjoitusten takia Kairatien liikuntasalille perjantaisin klo 19-20.30) sekä sunnuntaisin klo 17.30-19 Keltakankaan liikuntahallilla. Aloittelijakurssiin kuuluu myös 2 teoriatuntia, jossa käymme läpi roller derbyn sääntöjä. Teoriatunnit pidetään maaliskuussa kahtena sunnuntaina ennen treenien alkua.
Voit hankkia roller derby- varusteet itse tai lainata ne seuralta; quad-malliset rullaluistimet, multi-impact mallinen kypärä, kyynär-, polvi-, ranne- ja hammassuojat. Aloituspaketit ovat hinnaltaan n. 210 € ylöspäin. Tällä hetkellä Suomessa ei ole liikettä, joka myisi näitä luistimia, joten ne täytyy tilata netistä. Facebookissa on myös suomalainen Derbykirppis Rollaattori, josta voit löytää varusteita käytettynä. Autamme mielellämme varustehankinnoissa, jos niiden suhteen on kysymyksiä. Aloittelijakurssin maksu (60 €) pitää sisällään kevätkauden treenit, sääntöjä koskevat teoriatunnit että seuran jäsenyyden loppuvuodeksi. Järjestämme myös yhteisiä tapahtumia silloin tällöin. Lisäksi jäsenenä sinulla on mahdollisuus ostaa seuran merchejä jäsenhintaan ja jäsenenä olet äänioikeutettu yhdistyksen kokouksissa. Aloittelijakurssimaksun voit maksaa myös ennen kurssin alkua ja tämä ennakkomaksu varmistaa paikkasi kurssille. Lähetämme maksuohjeet ilmoittautumisen jälkeen.
Voit vapaasti tulla seuraamaan edistyneemmän ryhmän derbyharjoituksia milloin tahansa.
Spring 2023 beginner course and free open skates
They are here again! Come and try quad skates and roller derby at Keltakangas sports hall on Sunday, February 19th from 6 p.m. onwards. We try to arrange the right size skates and protections for all participants to borrow for the open skate. You should wear clothes suitable for exercise and take a water bottle with you. Please let us know if you have to cancel your participation. This way we give the equipment for someone else’s use. NOTE! Participation requires at least 18 years of age. The open skate is free.
The beginner’s course will start after the trial sessions in the end of February and will last until May 14, 2023. During the course, participants learn to skate, fall and stop safely, and learn the basics of the roller derby game. Skating and technique practice are held twice a week: on Tuesdays from 19:00 to 20:30 at Lyseonpuisto high school (excluding weeks 9 to 15 when the exercises are moved to the Kairatie gym on Fridays from 19:00 to 20:30) and on Sundays from 17:30 to 19:00 at the Keltakangas sports hall. The beginner’s course also includes 2 theory lessons, where we review the rules of roller derby. Theory lessons are held in March on two Sundays before the start of training.
You can buy the roller derby equipment yourself or borrow it from the club; quad model roller skates, multi-impact helmet, elbow, knee, wrist pads and a mouth guard. Starter packages are priced from 210 € and up. At the moment, there is no store in Finland that sells these skates, so you have to order them online. There is also a Finnish Derbykirppis Rollaattori on Facebook, where you can find used equipment. We are happy to help you with equipment purchases if you have any questions about them. The fee for the beginner’s course (60 €) includes training for the spring season, theory lessons about the rules and club membership for the rest of the year. We also organize joint events from time to time. In addition, as a member you have the opportunity to buy the club’s merch at the membership price and as a member you have the right to vote at the association’s meetings. You can also pay the beginner’s course fee before the course starts, and this advance payment secures your place on the course. We will send payment instructions after registration.
